Das Tango Jazz Quartett (TJQ) aus Argentinien ist ein Pionier bei der Schaffung eines neuen Tango-Sounds, indem es die Melodien und Rhythmen des Tangos mit der Harmonie und Improvisation des Jazz verbindet.
Nach 30 internationalen Tourneen hat sich das TJQ in der globalen Musikszene etabliert. Die Gruppe ist in Europa (17 Tourneen), den Vereinigten Staaten (drei Tourneen), China (eine Tournee), Russland (eine Tournee), Afrika (drei Tourneen) und Brasilien (fünf Tourneen) aufgetreten.

Das TJQ hat fünf Alben veröffentlicht und ist nicht nur im Quartettformat aufgetreten, sondern auch mit Jazz-Bigbands und Symphonieorchestern, und hat mit renommierten Musikern wie Richard Galliano, Delfeayo Marsalis und Vince Giordano zusammengearbeitet.
Das TJQ hat eine neue Art der Interpretation argentinischer Popmusik geschaffen, und ist für seine stetige Aktivität und die Innovation seiner musikalischen Ideen bekannt. Das Programm reicht von traditionellem Tango bis zu den Kompositionen von Astor Piazzolla, wobei der Jazz nie aus den Augen verloren wird.

Die Konzerte im LOFT beginnen in der Regel gegen 20 Uhr - das LOFT öffnet jeweils um 19.30 Uhr.

The Tango Jazz Quartet (TJQ) from Argentina is a pioneer in creating a new sound in tango by uniting its melodies and rhythms with the harmony and improvisation of jazz.
