„Naturally the virtuosic speed and accuracy of the musicians were breathtaking to behold, but the unique approach each player brought to his instrument made for deeper layers of wonder.“

Using acoustic and electronic instruments, three protagonists of jazz-based improvisational music engage in a discourse on the possibilities of contemporary ensemble playing with historical instrumentation. Concepts and ideas from different geographical and temporal origins are repurposed into novel principles of order that enable the ensemble to harmonize seemingly disparate musical elements. Thus, delicate counterpoint and dancing polyrhythms effortlessly coexist alongside raw towers of sound, vehement chord clusters, and simple vocal melodies.
