Klassik Kompakt, das einstündige Konzertformat des NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchesters, geht in die zweite Saison. Juraj Valčuha dirigiert das zweite Konzert der Reihe, auf dem Programm stehen dann zwei bedeutende Orchesterwerke: Dmitri Schostakowitschs Erste Sinfonie, die er im Alter von 19 Jahren als geniale Abschlussarbeit seines Studiums in St. Petersburg einreichte, und eine Suite aus »La Strada« von Nino Rota, dem Komponisten der berühmten Filmmusik zu Coppolas »Der Pate«.
