Die Band des Schlagzeugers vereint fünf Musiker aus Köln und Zürich, die auf eine gemeinsame musikalische Entwicklung über die letzten Jahre zurückschauen können. Zu nennen ist das 2019 gegründete Quartett „Feed The Rich“, bestehend aus Victor Fox, Leandro Irarragorri, Calvin Lennig und Finn Wiest, welches aufgrund der Coronapandemie pausieren musste. Umso mehr freuen sich die Musiker nun, mit dem Zuwachs Julius Van Rhee am Altsaxophon, wieder auftreten zu können.
Im Vorfeld einer Studioproduktion im LOFT wird das Quintett bei diesem Konzert ein Repertoire aus Eigenkompositionen und Originals präsentieren, wobei stets das Motto gilt: „Alles kann, nichts muss!“. Große Einflüsse kommen von Musikern wie Andrew Hill, Keith Jarrett oder Joe Lovano.

The band of the drummer unites five musicians from Cologne and Zurich, who can look back on a common musical development over the last years. To mention is the quartet „Feed The Rich“, formed in 2019, consisting of Victor Fox, Leandro Irarragorri, Calvin Lennig and Finn Wiest, which had to pause due to the corona pandemic. The musicians are all the more pleased now to be able to perform again with the addition of Julius Van Rhee on alto saxophone.
In the run-up to a studio production at LOFT, the quintet will present a repertoire of original compositions and originals at this concert, always following the motto: „Everything can, nothing must!“. Great influences come from musicians like Andrew Hill, Keith Jarrett or Joe Lovano.
