Der Pianist Phillip Golub und der Saxophonist Phillip Dornbusch fanden musikalisch in Deutschland zueinander – heute leben beide in Brooklyn. In regelmäßigen Wohnzimmer-Sessions entwickelten sie neues Material, das sie nun gemeinsam mit ihrem Quartett auf die Bühne bringen. Ergänzt wird die Band durch zwei starke Stimmen der europäischen Jazzszene: Roger Kintopf am Bass und Niklas Wittig am Schlagzeug, der den ursprünglich angekündigten Tilo Weber vertritt.

Phillip Golub, „ein Musiker im schnellen Aufstieg“ (Wall Street Journal) mit „scheinbar grenzenloser Kreativität“ (Downbeat), ist bei Deutschen Jazzpreis 2025 in der Kategorie "Newcomer:in des Jahres international" nominiert.

Pianist Phillip Golub and saxophonist Phillip Dornbusch found each other musically in Germany – today they both live in Brooklyn. In regular living room sessions, they developed new material, which they now bring to the stage together with their quartet. The band is complemented by two strong voices from the European jazz scene: Roger Kintopf on bass and Niklas Wittig on drums, who replaces the originally announced Tilo Weber.

Phillip Golub, “a musician in fast ascent” (Wall Street Journal) with “seemingly boundless creativity” (Downbeat), has been nominated for the German Jazz Award 2025 in the "Newcomer:in of the Year international" category.



The concerts at the LOFT will generally start at around 8 pm CEST - the LOFT will open at 7.30 pm CEST.
Exceptions - eg on Sundays - are possible.
