Masashi Hamauzu ist ein in München geborener japanischer Komponist der durch seine Final Fantasy Soundtracks weltweit Bekanntheit erlangt hat.
Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kölner Pianisten Benyamin Nuss, die nun schon fast 15 Jahre zurückliegt, entstanden mehrere Soundtracks zu Animes und Videospielen, sowie drei Alben mit Klavier- und Kammermusik, eines davon aufgenommen im LOFT – vor genau zehn Jahren.
In diesem Konzert präsentiert Benyamin Nuss einige seiner bekanntesten Werke, sowie neue Kompositionen wie z.B. sein Opus 6 für Mundharmonika und Klavier.

Masashi Hamauzu is a Munich-born Japanese composer who has achieved worldwide fame through his Final Fantasy soundtracks.
His collaboration with Cologne-based pianist Benyamin Nuss, which dates back almost 15 years, has resulted in several soundtracks for anime and video games, as well as three albums of piano and chamber music, one of which was recorded at LOFT – exactly ten years ago.
In this concert, Benyamin Nuss presents some of his best-known works, as well as new compositions such as his Opus 6 for harmonica and piano.
