Für sein Bachelorkonzert stellt der Trompeter und Komponist Mathis Cech sein neustes Bandprojekt vor.

In der Musik, die er für das Quintett geschrieben hat, verbindet er Einflüsse aus der Folklore und symphonischen Kompositionen und schlägt eine Brücke zu moderner improvisierter Musik. Das Ergebnis ist ein dichtes melodisches Geflecht, in dem auskomponierte Teile und die Improvisationen der Musiker ineinander übergehen und nicht immer klar voneinander trennbar sind.

Immer wieder wird dabei die Gewichtung von Freiheit und Struktur neu ausgelotet.

For his bachelor concert, trumpeter and composer Mathis Cech presents his latest band project.

In the music he has written for the quintet, he combines influences from folklore and symphonic compositions and builds a bridge to modern improvised music. The result is a dense melodic web in which composed parts and the improvisations of the musicians merge into one another and are not always clearly separable.
