It is almost 60 years since producer Hans Gertberg established a new tradition with the first NDR Jazz Workshops, a tradition that led to the NDR Jazz Konzerte series that now has around 600 concerts under its belt. The NDR brings the anniversary year to a grand musical close, with several leading jazz musicians accepting the invitation to perform at the anniversary concert at the Elbphilharmonie. The NDR Bigband and trombonist Nils Wogram present their new joint project »Work Smoothly«. Omar Sosa and his company bring Latin-American and Afro-Cuban rhythms to the Elbe.
