For his opera Mark Andre experiments with new sounds ...
Synopsis
For his new opera "Wunderzaichen" (Miraculous Signs), which will be performed in March 2014 in the Staatsoper Stuttgart, composer Mark Andre is looking for sounds that combine the newest audio technology and contemporary music aesthetics with stories and religious perceptions relating to the New Testament. He experiments, together with sound director Joachim Haas, in the legendary Experimental Studio of the SWR with resonances of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher being activated by the momentum of a flapping wing.
