Synopsis

Little Thomas is convinced he was exchanged at birth with the neighbour's son Alfred, who is now living his life. His dreams of being a dashing hero have come to nothing, and as he nears the end of a totally ordinary existence, he believes that he has never really lived. Then, as an old man he sets out to find the culprit who has robbed him of his life.
