Biography
Born in Jersey, based in London, Michael studied Film Directing at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth and the National Film & Television School where his graduation film, MADRUGADA, won Best Short at The Royal Television Society Awards. His next short film, RITE, was nominated at the 2011 BAFTAs and BIFAs, screened at 40 international film festivals, In 2011 Michael was selected as one of Screen International’s Stars of Tomorrow and in 2012 was selected for BFI Shorts, a scheme through which he made KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES. The film premiered at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and was nominated at the 2014 BAFTAs and BIFA’s. In 2013 Michael was selected to be part of Channel 4’s ‘Coming Up' scheme where he made HENRY, his debut TV drama. In 2014 he was selected to be part of Guiding Lights scheme and was mentored by Academy Award-winning director James Marsh.Filmography:
