Moll is 27 and still living at home, stifled by the small island community around her and too beholden to her family to break away. When she meets Pascal, a free-spirited stranger, a whole new world opens up to her and she begins to feel alive for the first time, falling madly in love. Finally breaking free from her family, Moll moves in with Pascal to start a new life. But when he is arrested as the key suspect in a series of brutal murders, she is left isolated and afraid. Choosing to stand with him against the suspicions of the community, Moll finds herself forced to make choices that will impact her life forever.
Born in Jersey, based in London, Michael studied Film Directing at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth and the National Film & Television School where his graduation film, MADRUGADA, won Best Short at The Royal Television Society Awards. His next short film, RITE, was nominated at the 2011 BAFTAs and BIFAs, screened at 40 international film festivals, In 2011 Michael was selected as one of Screen International’s Stars of Tomorrow and in 2012 was selected for BFI Shorts, a scheme through which he made KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES. The film premiered at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and was nominated at the 2014 BAFTAs and BIFA’s. In 2013 Michael was selected to be part of Channel 4’s ‘Coming Up' scheme where he made HENRY, his debut TV drama. In 2014 he was selected to be part of Guiding Lights scheme and was mentored by Academy Award-winning director James Marsh.
