After the fall of the Wall in 1989, 7th-generation mapmaker Stephan Perthes, passionately fights to reclaim the company headquarters in Gotha. He attempts together with a group of VEB Hermann Haack employees to return the publishing house to its former splendor.. The film follows the pursuit of this dream and reveals whether it ultimately succeeds.
