Thibault Vancraenenbroeck wurde in Brüssel geboren und wuchs in Florenz auf. Er entwirft Bühnenbilder und Kostüme für Tanz-, Schauspiel und Opernproduktionen und arbeitete mit Frédéric Dussenne, Enzo Pezzella, Dominique Baguette, Barbara Manzetti, Olga de Soto, Pierre Droulers, Charlie Degotte, Sébastien Chollet, Isabelle Marcelin et Didier Payen, Nathalie Mauger, Pascale Binnert, Yves Beaunesne, Sybille Cornet, Sofie Kokaj, Marc Liebens, Françoise Berlanger, Cindy van Acker, Alexis Moati, Anna van Brée, Perrine Valli, Florence Lloret, François Girard, Andréa Novicov, Rolando Villazón, Maya Boësch, Pierrick Sorin, Christophe Honoré, Richard Brunel und Yoshi Oida zusammen. Eine enge Verbindung besteht zu dem Regisseur Stéphane Braunschweig, für den er seit 1995 als Kostümbildner sowohl für Schauspiel wie für Oper tätig ist. Außerdem schuf er zwei Video-Installationen zu Texten von Maurice Blanchot und leitete in Zusammenarbeit mit Grégoire Romefort ein Fotoprojekt. Von 2001 bis 2008 arbeitete er an der École Supérieure d’Art Dramatique am Nationaltheater in Strasbourg als Lehrbeauftragter und Jurymitglied des Bereichs Bühnenbild und Kostüme und desgleichen auch an der l’Académie royale d’Anvers (Bereich Kostüm).
