Die Mezzosopranistin Stephanie Lesch schloss ihr Gesangsstudium bei Prof. Michaela Krämer an der Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf mit Auszeichnung ab und studierte Theaterwissenschaft und Germanistik an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Erste Bühnenerfahrungen sammelte sie in Hochschulproduktionen, darunter Dorabella (Mozart „Così fan tutte“), mit der sie auch in Montepulciano gastierte. In Hakenbergs Uraufführung „The Amputation of Charlie Sharp“ beim NOW! Festival Essen 2014 sang sie die Krankenschwester, bei der Sommernachtoper Kaiserslautern folgten Ganymed (Suppé „Die schöne Galathée“) und Clarina (Rossini „La cambiale di matrimonio“). Sie ist u.a. Stipendiatin der Yehudi-Menuhin-Stiftung, des Richard-Wagner-Verbandes Düsseldorf und der Studienstiftung Cusanus-Werk. 2013 war sie Preisträgerin des Podiums junger Gesangssolisten und gewann den Wettbewerb der Walter und Charlotte Hamel Stiftung. Beim 32. Hans Gabor Belvedere Gesangswettbewerb und Bundeswettbewerbes Gesang 2014 erreichte sie das Finale, beim Schmolz+Bickenbachwettbewerb 2014 sowie beim Liedduowettbewerb Rhein-Ruhr 2017 gewann sie 1. Preise. An der Deutschen Oper am Rhein ist Stephanie Lesch 2017/18 als Novizin in Puccinis „Sour Angelica“ zu erleben, nachdem sie hier bereits als Grimgerde (Wagner/Loriot „Der Ring an einem Abend“), Sandmann (Humperdinck „Hänsel und Gretel“) und Junge Nonne (Prokofjew „Der feurige Engel“) gastierte.
