Geboren 1960 in Düsseldorf. Ihr Schauspielstudium absolvierte sie an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover. Anschließend war sie für sechs Jahren an den Wuppertaler Bühnen engagiert und später für weitere drei Jahren am Schillertheater in Berlin, wo sie u. a. mit Katharina Thalbach und Benno Besson arbeitete. 1993 wechselte sie an das Burgtheater Wien unter Leitung von Claus Peymann. 1996 war sie bei den Salzburger Festspielen engagiert, anschließend Ensemblemitglied u. a. am Schauspielhaus Bochum und am Deutschen Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. Einem breiteren Publikum wurde Sabine Orléans 1998 in ihrer Rolle der liebeskranken Taxifahrerin in Helmut Dietls Kinofilm Late Show und als Pionierleiterin in Leander Haußmanns Sonnenallee (1999) bekannt. Ab der Spielzeit 2005/06 gehörte sie dem Ensemble des Schauspiel Hannover an, seit 2013 war sie Ensemblemitglied am Schauspiel Köln.
Seit der Spielzeit 2019/20 ist Sabine Orléans wieder im Ensemble des Schauspiel Hannover. Sabine Orléans spielt u. a. in Hamlet und in Peer Gynt.
