Robert Johansson erhielt seine Tanzausbildung in seiner Heimat Schweden. Nach internationalen Engagements in den USA, Abu Dhabi und Italien war er in Deutschland in Tanz der Vampire, Jesus Christ Superstar und Disney’s Aida zu sehen. Es folgten Engagements in Kiss me, Kate an der Komischen Oper Berlin, Der Schuh des Manitu am Theater des Westens Berlin, Dirty Dancing am Theater am Potsdamer Platz Berlin sowie in Chicago, Moses und in Artus Excalibur am Theater St. Gallen. Außerdem war er als Gesangssolist in der Show The One am Friedrichstadt-Palast Berlin zu erleben und am Staatstheater Nürnberg in Manche mögen´s heiß, Catch me if you can und Ball im Savoy. Für seine Band devil named jones ist Johansson auch kompositorisch tätig. An der Staatsoper Hannover stand Robert Johansson bereits in der Spielzeit 2022/23 in Die Zirkusprinzessin auf der Bühne und kehrt nun im Ensemble von Chicago zurück.
