Ihr breit gefächertes Repertoire reicht von Mozart (Cherubino, Sesto, Dorabella) über Donizetti (Jane Seymour / ANNA BOLENA, Sara / ROBERTO DEVEREUX, Leonora / LA FAVORITA, Orsini / LUCREZIA BORGIA), Bizet (Carmen) und Verdi (Fenena, Amneris, Eboli) bis hin zu dramatischen Partien der „Veristen” wie Ponchielli (Laura / LA GIOCONDA), Mascagni (Santuzza) und Cilea (Adriana Lecouvreur) oder Richard Strauss’ Octavian und Komponist sowie Tschaikowskijs Jeanne d’Arc. Gefragt auch als Judith in Bartoks HERZOG BLAUBARTS BURG ist sie in dieser Rolle in der Hamburger Produktion auf Video zu sehen und bei Decca auf CD zu hören.
1989 debütierte sie in Frankfurt und Wien, 1990 an der Mailänder Scala (in Corghis BLIMUNDA) danach in Houston, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Bregenz, San Francisco, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Neapel, Catania, Mexico City, Santiago de Chile, Genua (DER ROSENKAVALIER, Video bei BMG), Ravenna, beim Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Strasbourg, 1999 an der Metropolitan Opera New York (Charlotte / WERTHER), Nizza, Brüssel (u.a. Uraufführung von Luca Francesconis BALLATA), 2002 in Tokio, 2003 in Dresden, Livorno, Pisa, Lucca und Minneapolis.
Sie konzertierte mit Dirigenten wie Zubin Mehta, Ivan Fischer, Valery Gergiev, Ingo Metzmacher, Antonio Pappano und erweiterte 2003 ihr Repertoire um Venus / TANNHÄUSER in Paris und Niklaus / LES CONTES D’HOFFMANN in Macerata sowie um Jokaste / OEDIPE in Cagliari.
Letzte und künftige Engagements führten und führen sie u. a. als Carmen nach Verona und Budapest, als Herodias / SALOME nach New York, als Amneris / AIDA an die Deutsche Oper Berlin, nach München, Verona, Tel Aviv und Budapest, als Principessa di Bouillon / ADRIANA LECOUVREUR nach Palermo, als Santuzza / CAVALLERIA RUSITCANA nach New York, Cagliari, Palermo und Barcelona, als Eboli / DON CARLO und Venus / TANNHÄUSER nach Budapest, als Jezibaba / RUSALKA und in MESSA DA REQUIEM nach Barcelona sowie als Cassandre / DIE TROJANER an die Deutsche Oper Berlin.
