Beim Internationalen Tschaikowskij-Wettbewerb 2015 gewann er den ersten Preis und den Grand Prix. Im Jahr 2015 trat Ganbaatar im Bolschoi-Theater in Moskau und in der Cadogan Hall in London auf und sang die Arie des Yeletsky aus Tschaikowskijs PIQUE DAME im Buckingham Palace. Im Jahr 2016 spielte er die Rollen des Escamillo / CARMEN und des Baron Scarpia / TOSCA am Mariinsky-Theater in Sankt Petersburg. Er trat auch bei der 60. Generalversammlung der World Federation of International Music Competitions in Jerewan, Armenien, auf. Beim BBC Cardiff Singer of the World-Wettbewerb 2017 wurde ihm der Liederpreis verliehen.
Im Jahr 2016, anlässlich des 854. Geburtstages von Dschingis Khan, wurde Ganbaatar für seine zahlreichen Auszeichnungen und Erfolge auf der internationalen Bühne der höchste Staatspreis der Mongolei, der Orden des Dschingis Khan, verliehen.
Zu seinen jüngsten Engagements zählen u. a. Nabucco, Scarpia / TOSCA, Escamillo / CARMEN, Conte di Luna / IL TROVATORE, Renato / UN BALLO IN MASCHERA, Rigoletto, Rodrigo / DON CARLO, Macbeth und Jago / OTELLO am Mariinsky-Theater in Sankt Petersburg, Amonasro / AIDA, Rigoletto und Nabucco in Las Palmas, bei den Weißen Nächten Alfio / CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA und Rigoletto, Giorgio Germont / LA TRAVIATA in Paris sowie sein Debüt an der Deutschen Oper Berlin als Baron Scarpia.
