Anne Ehrlich studierte Innenarchitektur/Raumszenarien bei Prof. Colin Walker. Von 1998 bis 2001 entwarf sie mehrere Filmsets, u. a. für It’s a small world and things like this, ausgezeichnet als bester Kurzfilm beim Filmfest Dresden. Von 2004 bis 2008 war sie als feste Bühnenbildassistentin am Thalia Theater Hamburg engagiert. 2008 entwirft sie hier das Bühnenbild für die Uraufführung Das letzte Feue...

Von 1998 bis 2001 entwarf sie mehrere Filmsets, u. a. für It’s a small world and things like this, ausgezeichnet als bester Kurzfilm beim Filmfest Dresden. Von 2004 bis 2008 war sie als feste Bühnenbildassistentin am Thalia Theater Hamburg engagiert. 2008 entwirft sie hier das Bühnenbild für die Uraufführung Das letzte Feuer von Dea Loher in der Regie von Andreas Kriegenburg. Hierfür wurde sie mit dem Rolf Mares Preis der Stadt Hamburg ausgezeichnet. Von 2011 bis 2018 war sie Atelierleiterin am Deutschen Theater in Berlin. Mit Lilja Rupprecht als auch mit Nuran David Calis verbindet sie eine lange und kontinuierliche Zusammenarbeit. Anne Ehrlich arbeitet als Bühnenbildnerin u. a. am Deutschen Theater Berlin, Theater Bonn, Landestheater Salzburg, Schauspiel Köln, Münchner Volkstheater, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Schauspiel Stuttgart, Nationaltheater Oslo, Akademietheater in Wien, an der Oper Wuppertal, der Folkoperan in Stockholm und am Riksteatern Schweden.
Am Schauspiel Hannover entwirft sie in der Spielzeit 2020/21 das Bühnenbild für Woyzeck, in der Spielzeit 2021/22 für Anatomy of a suicide und in der Spielzeit 2022/23 für Peer Gynt, jeweils in der Regie von Lilja Rupprecht.
