Katrin Connan, 1979 geboren, studierte 2000 bis 2001 Freie Kunst in Groningen, Niederlanden, und von 2001 bis 2007 Freie Kunst / Bühnenraum an der Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Hamburg. Während des Studiums zeigte sie ihre Bilder und Performances in Kunstvereinen und Galerien, assistierte am St. Pauli-Theater und am Grand Théâtre de Genève, trat als Teil des Musikduos „Die Roquettes“ auf und entwarf ihre ersten Bühnenbilder im Malersaal des Deutschen Schauspielhauses sowie am Thalia Theater in der Gaußstraße in Hamburg. Seit 2008 arbeitet sie als Bühnenbildnerin an Opernhäusern und Schauspielhäusern wie Theater an der Wien, Opernhaus Zürich, Nationale Opera en Ballet Amsterdam, Opernhaus Graz, Bregenzer Festspiele, Teatro dell‘Opera di Roma, Staatsoper Hamburg, Semperoper Dresden und Bayerische Staatsoper, die Staatstheater Stuttgart, Theater Bremen und Schauspiel Leipzig mit den Regisseur:innen Johannes Erath, Hans Neuenfels und Anna-Sophie Mahler. Zuletzt verantwortete sie am Theater Bremen das Bühnenbild für Frank Hilbrichs Inszenierung „Don Carlo“.
