Ihre professionelle Karriere begann beim Ballett Basel, von wo sie 2008 zur italienischen Kompanie Aterballetto wechselte. 2012 nahm sie ihre Arbeit am Ballett Basel wieder auf und wurde 2016 zur Tänzerin des Jahres ernannt. Sie hat verschiedene choreographische Arbeiten geschaffen und gibt regelmäßig Unterricht in klassischem und modernem Tanz. Tortosa Vidal hat mit Choreograf:innen wie Jirí Kylián, Mauro Bigonzetti, Johan Inger, Hofesh Shechter, Alexander Ekman, Angelin Preljocaj, Bryan Arias, Itzik Galili, Stijn Celis, Jirí Pokorný, Edward Clug und Richard Wherlock gearbeitet. Im Jahr 2020 leitete sie das Bildungsprojekt Suite de Danses Expérimentales, das zusammen mit dem Kammerorchester Basel und der Fachmaturitätsschule Basel stattfand.
