Synopsis

“Whatever happened to Helmut Berger?”, wonders Bettina Vorndamme, film fan in her prime. The Google results are shocking: Scandalising performances, an appearance on Jungle Camp, alcoholism! The actor seems but a shadow of his former self. The finance controller decides to put an end to his slow demise. With the help of her daughter, she contacts Berger in Salzburg. Shortly thereafter, Berger is actually seated on her sofa. A close friendship develops between the odd couple – with plenty of highs and lows.
