A tribute to the director’s uncle Thomas, a humble man with a simple and anonymous life. This is her acknowledgment how one does not have to be "somebody" to become exceptional in other’s eyes.
Regina Pessoa has been working in animation since 1992. Apart from several animation workshops, she worked on THE OUTLAWS by Abi Feijó (1992/93), FADO LUSITANO (1994/95) and the sand animation in STOWAWAY, also by Abi Feijó (2000).
She started directing herself in 1996 and quickly obtained a vast recognition, winning countless awards and becoming an inescapable reference. She also holds a Painting Degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (1998) and is both a senior lecturer at FILMAKADEMIE (Germany) and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
